4 PIXIE LOTT! People, if someone ever said, that they know the most soulfull and best singer, don't believe! Pixie Lott feels what she sings, knows what she sings, means what she sings. I have never ever in my life had this feeling as I have it, when I watch her acoustic overs.! This is really amazing! She sings, and screams and I have the feeling as if she really really feels, means what she is singing. It's .. great. I tell you so watch her videos!

St. Albans in 2006, three boys who have known each other since highschool, formed the band 'Friendly Fires' resulting from the opening song of their first LP Always Now. The band is mainly influenced by German techno labels like Prince, Komptakt and Carl Craig. As the boys were 14 years old, they already had formed a band together called 'First Day Back' which they played for til they started university. At the end of 2007 Friendly Fires performed - as the first band without a label - on Channel 4's Transmission programme. As XL Recordings contracted Friendly Fires their single Paris became the 'Single of the Week'! Several of their songs were used for commercials, soaps, theme tunes, games etc. Their homonymous album 'Friendly Fires' was certified double gold in the UK, furthermore the band was nominated for several awards such as the Mercury Music Prize in July 2009.

OneRepublic is a band that really knows how to compose a song. If you truly understand something about music and not just listen all this fucking bullshit they play on the radio like Tik Tok by Ke$ha(wtf is this $ for? does she want to buy herself?) you try to listen to the background music, the music that accompanies the voice of the lead singer. And this is why I absolutely adore OneRepublic because their backgroundmusic is wonderful. The solos of the piano is the "je ne sais quoi", this certain something that makes their songs so absolutely perfect to listen to. You have to listen to the piano very carefully in Apologize by OneRepublic. It's very soft and calmes you down.. somehow ;) Maybe other pianists can do that so much better, but this is a brilliant piano composition for a song with vocals. The violin (?) in Apologize or as many people call it It's too late, is very good too, it's a good idea to introduce such a nostalgic song with a violin. Since the picture of a violin is often associated with sentimentalities. As soon as the violin stops (or as soon as you can't hear her anymore) the piano starts, this is why Apologize has such a nostalgic touch, though they use a guitar and some very rough instrumental solos.
